There were to be no Christmas celebrations for Trowbridge as they played Corsham in their only December fixture. Trowbridge Town, narrowly beaten by a late goal at Wells a few weeks ago, proved worthy victors in the return encounter on Saturday before 2,000 spectators. It was a keenly contested game with little to choose between the excellent standard of midfield play by both sides, but Trowbridge, in satisfying contrast to recent games, were much superior in marksmanship.
