Although Trowbridge were in control for much of the game, one goal by Eddie Murphy gave them both points against Hastings Utd at Frome Road. The goal was scored late in the second half and left Trowbridge with an outside chance of obtaining Premier Division football by finishing in the top eleven of the S.E. Section.
