Trowbridge won 2-1 at Gravesend and in turn gained a double over the Kent side. With this win Trowbridge strengthened their challenge for promotion and remained in third position.
The Town had to fight hard for this win and at times were indebted Frank Shipley who made some fine saves.
Trowbridge scored in the second minute through Archie Thorburn who had a fine game, also scoring the second after 14 minutes.
Gravesend scored after 55 minutes, and for the rest of the game it was a desperate struggle to keep the lead.
