This was a comfortable win for Trowbridge although Biddestone showed plenty of spirit and held on for over twenty minutes before the deadlock was broken. New signing Chris Tricker warming up the away fans with a well taken opening goal. Chris Vaughan in the Trowbridge goal was rarely troubled during the first half and it was therefore not surprising when Trowbridge doubled their lead before half time, once again Tricker the goal scorer. In the second half, Biddestone did create a couple of chances, Chris Vaughan having to make a good save and another shot hitting the crossbar. The result was never in doubt though as Trowbridge controlled the match without really getting out of first gear. A good free kick from distance by Paul Shanley struck the crossbar but it was a day to remember for Chris Tricker as he repeated his feat of two goals in the first half to make the final score 4-0. |
