3:00 PM Kick-off

Scorers: Chris Henry, Neil Kirkpatrick, Adam Smith

With Chris Vaughan injured Trowbridge Town were forced to field veteran goalkeeper Ian Diamond for this entertaining league match at Biddestone. Ian was called in to action early on when he made an excellent save, diving to his right to turn a shot past the post. Both sides tried their best to create chances in the first half, Adam Smith shooting wide before Biddesone opened the scoring after 24 minutes. A fierce shot by James Lye from 20 yards flew into the top corner with Ian Diamond rooted to the spot. Neil Kirkpatrick squared the match from the penalty spot after 32 minutes, although he had to take the kick twice due to an encroachment. The score remained 1-1 at half-time, Biddestone having hit the crossbar with a header in the latter stages.

In the first minute of the second half Trowbridge went in front 2-1. Neat play by Mark Edwards found Chris Henry in front of goal and his shot just had enough pace on it to creep into the corner of the goal. Biddestone drew level after 50 minutes with a fine free kick from Spencer Clifford. The winning goal came after 70 minutes and was well worth waiting for. Mark Edwards ran down the left wing, found Adam Smith with a pin point cross and the recipient made no mistake with a strong header into the top right corner.
