This match could easily be summed up in one sentence. Pewsey came for a point, and got one! There were chances early on for Trowbridge with headers from Edwards and O'Pray missing the target. The remainder of the half saw Trowbridge camped in the Pewsey half of the field but despite all the pressure they could not seem to get a shot or a header on target. With persistent rain during the whole match the home supporters were looking for something to cheer about and hoped for better luck in the second half.

Unfortunately, it was pretty much the same story, rain and missed Trowbridge opportunities plus the occasional worry when Pewsey counterattacked. The only chance for Pewsey came after six minutes of the second half when Chris Vaughan turned a scooped shot towards goal over the bar. Jerad O'Pray did manage to get the ball on target after 52 minutes but his header was cleared off the line with the goalkeeper beaten. There were also chances for Adam Smith who taunted the Pewsey defence all through the match but there was to be no finishing touch. The highlight of the match was when Smith "Nutmegged" Garrett, the Pewsey Captain and forced a corner. Garrett was clearly impressed by the young strikers cheeky piece of skill and made a point of shaking hands with him. A nice touch in an otherwise uneventful very wet football match.
