Scorers: Andy Bloodworth, David Percival

Trowbridge gained three points tonight with a solid performance at Melksham. They were in front after just 4 minutes. A free kick from Andy Bloodworth from at least 25 yards found the net when the Melksham goalkeeper failed to grasp the ball above his head. Ricky Hulbert headed a chance over the bar following a free kick shortly afterwards.

In the second half, Trowbridge created a number of opportunities to increase their lead, Luke Smith striking the crossbar after 67 minutes with a fierce shot on the half volley. Ten minutes later it was 2-0, Dave Percival scoring from the penalty spot after being fouled in the area and at the same time Melksham now found themselves down to ten men. Booker Woodford then had the ball in the net after some good play by Jack Heard and a cross by Percival but it was ruled out for offside. With three minutes the go, Luke Smith was also ruled offside after striking a half volley over the goalkeeper following a cross from the right. Melksham then found themselves down to nine men just before the final whistle.
