A much-improved Marlborough side visited Trowbridge and took away a point in a fairly uneventful goalless draw. The first real chance came in the 28th minute when Jack Heard allowed a Ricky Hulbert cross to reach Adam Nunn. The first time hit shot going past the right hand post. A few minutes later, Waleed Bakali did well with a bouncing ball but his hooked effort went over the bar. Daniel Barnes then went close with a header that went just over following a corner from Adam Nunn.

Marlborough sat back and looked for the draw in the second half and frustrated the Trowbridge forwards. When they did break through the chances went begging. Adam Nunn, Gordon Saunderson and Chris Styles all missing the target. Marlborough nearly stole the points with five minutes remaining catching Trowbridge on the break. Mike Little lost possession in front of goal but was then relieved to see the Marlborough forward poke the ball wide of the post. Dave Percival set up a chance for Adam Nunn in the dying seconds but again the shot went over the crossbar to end the game goalless.
