Substitute Barnes takes Town back to the top.
Trowbridge returned to the top of the table with this win. Tytherington attacked from the kick off but Trowbridge were awarded a free kick on the right wing after 5 minutes. Adam Nunn floated the free kick across goal and Ricky Trott rose between two defenders to head the ball past Rob Dent to claim the lead. The visitors nearly extended their lead after 12 minutes, Dave Percival pulling a pass back from the goal-line for Adan Nunn to hit a low shot that was turned round the post by Dent. Trowbridge lost Ricky Trott with a leg injury, Adrian Barnes coming on as substitute. Waleed Bakali almost extended the lead after 28 minutes but his shot was cleared off the line by a defender. Tytherington attacked on the half hour and although there were no penalty appeals, the assistant referee spotted a shirt-pull and after consultation a penalty was awarded. Jimmy Potts made no mistake to level the score for half time.
Adam Glover replaced Lee Wilson for the restart. There were no chances for either side for best part of the second half as the two top sides cancelled each other out and neither 'keeper had a direct shot to save. Everything changed however, with 73 minutes gone. Adam Nunn played a short pass for Dave Percival to screw a shot across goal where Adrian Barnes ghosted in to get to the ball just ahead of the goalkeeper and force the ball home to give Trowbridge a 2-1 lead. Seven minutes later Percival produced a great run down the right wing and hit a cross that picked out Adrian Barnes at the far post to head in the third. The game looked safe but Tytherington did not give up and a fine shot from Jimmy Potts flew into the top corner of the Trowbridge net to pull it back to 3-2 and set up a thrilling last 10 minutes. Both sides went close, a Tytherington shot went just wide and a run by Andy Bloodworth produced a shot from Percival in the last minute that was saved by Dent.
