Cheltenham Saracens 0 Trowbridge Town 0
Trowbridge dominated possession from start to finish but could not break through the Saracens defence to claim the win that their play deserved. The first chance fell to Dean Barker after 20 mins but Betteridge saved comfortably. Other chances fell to Adam Nunn, Dave Percival and Adrian Barnes before half time as Trowbridge forced a number of corners. The second half produced a similar pattern, Chris Tricker header over after 5 minutes and Dave Percival hit a powerful shot straight at Betteridge on the hour. New signing, James Hamsher came on and looked impressive on the left wing which only added to the pressure put upon the Cheltenham defence but they deserve a lot of credit for keeping a clean sheet and almost stole the points with their only real chance which went wide with 78 minutes gone. A useful away point gained but with the amount of possession, the band of travelling fans that braved the freezing temperatures went home a little disappointed not to have taken all three.
