Wootton Bassett Town 1 Trowbridge Town 1
Not the best of games but I'll take the draw. Winning home games and drawing away is promotion form so I suppose not too much can be said, but I do feel both our games at Letcombe and then again at WB were there to be won. Nigle Vile was right WB gave us little time on the ball, this is probably because most time was spent retrieving it from the cricket field next door which seemed the favourite place for their defence to put it. Noticeable was the fact that the planes from Lyneham changed their flight path after about 10 minutes so they obviously new the tactics from old. I thought we were a bit off colour until the second half when we brightened up considerably. This was probably caused by the late arrival of players due to the hold ups around Melksham and we didn't get going at all in the first half. I thought our midfield were a bit touchy feely in the first period when we really needed to be a bit Andy Feeley (for those of you who don't know - a hard tackling midfielder who we transferred to Leicester City) but we got to grips with their speedy wing play and started to pass the ball a bit second half. We missed Cooper, without a doubt, but I was glad we got down the wings at them in the last 20 and had them in a lot of trouble at the back. A point, but it I just felt it could have been 3. We need now to be focused for Saturday and play as we know we can.
