Trowbridge obtained the first double of the season against Clacton Town with a 2-1 victory at Frome Road. The solitary goal in the first half was scored by Vic Lambden, but Trowbridge should have taken advantage of their superiority.
The second half saw Clacton much more adventurous and they equalised after only 5 minutes. The Trowbridge defence then came in for a battering as Clacton pressed forward. Jerry Moss scored the winner in the 82nd minute.
The result still kept Trowbridge in the hunt for Premier League status with 2 matches to play.
