Trowbridge avenged an earlier 2-1 defeat at Kings Lynn with a fine 4-1 home victory. The Town gained a comfortable 3-0 interval lead.
Vic Lambden was at his best at centre-forward for Trowbridge and opened the scoring with a fine eighth minute headed goal. Eddie Murphy scored a second in the 29th minute and Lambden scored again 9 minutes later.
Kings Lynn Trowbridge rather more trouble in the second half and veteran George Vince, who had come out of retirement, had an excellent half. The Trowbridge forward line was slowed somewhat by an injury to Mike Baker.
