Referee: P Boyles
3:00 PM Kick-off

Scorers: Will Astall, Gary Holding, Neil Kirkpatrick

A tough match was expected today with the visitors standing second in the league. However, this was not to be the case as Trowbridge produced their best performance of the season to beat Raychem Reserves 3-1. A one nil lead was secured early in the game when Gary Holding sent over a perfectly weighted cross for Neil Kirkpatrick to head over the keeper and into the net.. Despite dominating the rest of the half, the score remained one nil until half time. Gary Holding then became scorer rather than provider when his classy chip soared over the goalkeeper and into the net to make it two nil. Raychem were limited to just one
opportunity. A goalmouth scramble that fortunately came to nothing. However fortune did come their way and produced their only goal, when the referee pointed to the spot for a penalty. Most of the crowd seemed to think that a foul had been committed on, rather than by the keeper. Trowbridge wrapped the game up late, when Will Astall grabbed his first goal for the club. Just about managing to force the ball over the line from close in, following a corner. A good performance by all, although special mention should go to Andy Bloodworth who, despite a bloody nose at the end of the first half gave Raychem nightmares every time he ran down the right wing.
