Trowbridge maintained their 100% league record by winning their first away game at Blunsdon Utd. This was a tight, competitive match which could have gone the wrong way with both teams having a number of chances. Blunsdon started as the stronger team yet nearly gave Trowbridge the lead when one of their players hit their own post and the ball bounced straight back into the keepers hands. Trowbridge forced some corners during the first half but seemed to over hit them on a narrow pitch. Strangely Blunsdon did the same on occasions and the half time score remained 0-0. In the second half however, a perfectly judged corner was head-flicked on by Neil Kirkpatrick allowing Steve Eade to dive and head home and claim the only goal of the game. Both Blunsdon and Trowbridge created further chances only to be denied by some fine goalkeeping.
