Scorers: Chris Henry, Chris Tricker

Trowbridge Town avenged their cup defeat by taking all three points from Cricklade in a very entertaining match. Cricklade needed to win the game to keep the pressure on the league leaders and were the better team in the first half. They nearly took the lead after 15 minutes when a shot rebounded from a post and were to repeat this feat eight minutes later. In between these let offs Trowbridge did attack but looked less likely to open their account. After 36 minutes, Cricklade took the lead, the ball broke on the left side of the penalty area and Pete Yorke beat Chris Vaughan with a well-placed shot. In the dying minutes of the first half Trowbridge drew level, Chris Henry beat a defender on the left wing and his shot across goal squirmed under the goalkeeper's arms and over the line.

In the second half Cricklade were once again denied by the crossbar (twice) but were also caught at the back on numerous occasions with passes up to Chris Tricker. Chris had a number of runs into the penalty area but could not quite finish and was beginning to get frustrated. On one occasion he beat the defender, shot well and was denied by a very good save. With about 5 minutes of the match remaining Chris claimed the goal he deserved, a cross from the right found it's way across the area, past Tim Waylen and he was waiting at the back post to provide the finishing touch into the roof of the net.
