Trowbridge fielded a much changed lineup due to unavailability and rested players. It took a while to settle and Malmesbury had a couple of early attacks. These were dealt with comfortably and it was then all Trowbridge for the remainder of the match. Ricky Hulbert nearly gave Trowbridge the lead after 10 minutes. Having gained possession he ran into the penalty area and pushed the ball past the goalkeeper but the ball also went wide of the post. Just before the half time whistle, Lee Hayward did really well, beating a couple of players, unfortunately his final shot was poor and went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper.

The second half saw Trowbridge attacking constantly but not really testing the Malmesbury 'keeper. Waleed Bakali & Gavin Eyre came on as substitutes during the half, which gave Trowbridge width on both sides. Unfortunately despite all the possession, shots went wide of the target and two points were dropped.
