5 - 1
 Salisbury City

League (Western League Division One)

Att. 2,130
3:00 PM Kick-off

Scorers: Ken Abrahams, Jack Dagg (4)

True to tradition, the meeting of these clubs at Trowbridge on Saturday provided another exhibition of fast, clever football, with Trowbridge's forwards winning the points by superior marksmanship. "Bill" Lovesey, suffering from a leg injury, was again absent, but Denis Hancock, the deputy, played a grand game. Trowbridge attacked from the start with slick, accurate passing which kept Salisbury's defenders guessing, and but for Amor's fine anticipation the Town must have taken a very early lead from fine efforts by Dagg and Haddon. First goal came in ten minutes, beautiful passing between Grimason and Abrahams providing Dagg with a pass which he made full use of. Two minutes later Haddon was fouled and Sutherland placed a well-judged "free" into the goalmouth. Amor shaped to gather the ball, but with remarkable quickness Abrahams nipped in and flicked the ball into the corner of the net to put Trowbridge two up. Dagg got another after 22 minutes, following good play by Haycock, and Haddon sent a shot against the foot of an upright before Grayer beat Vince after 34 minutes with a cleverly-flighted ball from the left wing. In the second half Dagg added two more goals, the second of these being a well-judged shot after his first shot rebounded from the angle the goalposts. Trowbridge's defence had plenty to do, finding the Salisbury wingers Graver and Howard most troublesome. Their forwards, however, did not have a good day with their shooting. The attendance was 2,130.
