Trowbridge surrendered both points to bottom club Guildford City in an uninspiring match at Frome Road. Guildford were a mediocre side but Trowbridge sunk so low that they allowed the City to control of a game which Trowbridge should have made safe before half-time.
The Town took the lead after 30 minutes through player manager John Henderson who was dazed at the time following a blow on the face, but further goals did not arrive. The City scored twice in five minutes half-way through the second half.
The match was watched by 1385? spectators.
