After losing heavily six goals to two at Frome Road the previous week, Trowbridge played a quick return match at Cambridge City and managed a 2-2 draw.
The game was played at a very slow pace with neither side showing a high standard of play. Trowbridge took the lead after 15 minutes through Ivor Compton, but this was equalised 5 minutes later. Vic Lambden restored Trowbridge's lead midway through the second half but once again this lead was short-lived.
