Scorers: Michael Baker (2), John Henderson, Vic Lambden

Irish team captain Danny Blanchflower, Footballer of the Year and possessor of International caps to fill a shop window, has performed in huge soccer arenas filled with tens of thousands of spectators, yet one had the feeling that one of the abiding memories of this golden-haired soccer idol in future will be the rousing and sincere "Moonraker's" welcome which he received from just over 3,000 supporters at the Trowbridge Town ground last Saturday.
Spurs had a side which looked capable of holding its own against the majority of Division 2, 3 or 4 clubs.
It had Internationals Robb and Medwin and erstwhile first team players Ryden, Henry, Hills, Dyson and Stokes.
One can find nothing but praise for Trowbridge who put up a first class performance to hold this star studded Spurs side to a 4-4 draw.
Trowbridge goals were scored by Baker (2). Henderson and Lambden.
