Scorers: Will Astall, Mark Edwards, Neil Kirkpatrick, Paul Shanley

Trowbridge made the perfect start to this game with an early goal from Neil Kirkpatrick. A cross following a corner came in quite low down and Neil managed to crouch and guide a header into the corner of the net. Town 'keeper Chris Vaughan became a spectator for much of the first half and the Trowbridge pressure produced a second goal when Will Astall turned the ball in from close range. The third goal was something to remember. The ball broke loose outside the area and Paul Shanley found himself with some time. Cries of "keep it down" came from me as he sized up a shot on goal and that's exactly what happened, the ball finding it's way into the bottom left corner of the net as the Raychem 'keeper dived in vain. With the first half minutes ticking away, Raychem grabbed a goal back. The Raychem forward appeared to have missed the opportunity and Chris Vaughan dived on to the ball. The referee however, adjudged that the ball had crossed the line and the score at half time became 3-1. Trowbridge continued to dominate throughout the second half but it was Raychem who scored first to make the score 3-2. This setback was only temporary though as Eddie Edwards and John Taylor found themselves together with the ball at the left edge of the Raychem penalty area. It was Eddie who took the chance though, finishing in style with a shot over the 'keeper and into the inside of the side netting. Later Adam Smith was brought down in the box and up stepped Neil Kirkpatrick to take the penalty. This time however, he was unsuccessful as the Raychem 'keeper made a fine save. To be fair the Raychem 'keeper deserved some glory as despite being beaten four times the youngster had handled safely throughout the game.
