Scorers: Andy Bloodworth, Paul Ford, David Percival

Trowbridge gained maximum points away from home for the third time this season but they had to come from behind twice to do so. A vastly changed line-up due to county call-ups and unavailability looked very disjointed in the first half and found themselves under pressure from an enthusiastic Marlborough team. Having mounted a couple of attacks the home side took the lead after 11 minutes. A break down the right creating an opportunity for Steve Wyatt to score after an initial save from Adam Sheppard. Trowbridge were level after 25 minutes, Ricky Hulbert doing well to keep possession on the right and cross the ball for debutant Paul Ford to score from close range. Marlborough were back in front just 2 minutes later, Pete Ward the scorer when Trowbridge were caught on the break.

Three minutes in to the second half, Andy Bloodworth levelled the score at 2-2. Most people were expecting a cross from Andy but instead he finished well from a tight angle. Both teams were looking to win the game, neither defence was on top form and Marlborough created a few chances which they either wasted with wild shooting or when on target were dealt with comfortably by Adam Sheppard. One shot from all of thirty yards was finger-tipped round the post for a corner. Having weathered the storm Trowbridge looked the most likely in the last 10 minutes. Mathew Penman making his return was very creative on the right, but it required brilliant individual skill from Dave Percival to take the points. Having gained possession on the left he beat a defender and smashed the ball into the roof of the net from an even tighter angle than Bloodworth's earler goal.
