Scorers: David Percival

Trowbridge came away with the points in this tense evening game. They started well but Corsham had the first shot at goal after 6 minutes that went just wide. Dave Mitchell received a throw-in just inside the area after 10 minutes. He turned, beat one player and shot from a tight angle but the goalkeeper saved with his legs. From the resultant corner, Daniel Barnes headed towards goal but his effort was cleared off the line with the 'keeper beaten. Trowbridge continued to attack and were unlucky not to take the lead on 18 minutes. A good cross from the left by Ricky Trott was volleyed against the crossbar by Gavin Eyre. Corsham threatened on the break and should have taken the lead after 30 minutes. The centre forward ran onto a through ball and chipped the ball over Adam Sheppard but the ball went just wide of the right post. In the second half Trowbridge failed to produce their accurate passing game and Corsham defended very well and competed for everything. In the 65th minute, Corsham were awarded a free kick and took it very quickly. The ball struck the inside of the post and bounced straight into the arms of Adam Sheppard. The remainder of the game was very tense, Matt Minnis going just wide with a shot through a crowd of players after 70 minutes and worryingly Waleed Bakali had to leave the field with a shoulder injury. Trowbridge claimed the points in the 80th minute. Dave Mitchell was fouled inside the area just as he was preparing to cross the ball and Dave Percival tucked away the penalty nicely.
