Trowbridge Town 2 Westbury Utd Reserves 2

Coming quickly off the back of our first win of the season we took on Westbury who have hit the ground running. It was a typical derby with the game ebbing and flowing from start to finish. Westbury had the better of opening exchanges but once we settled into the game we started to take control. As we moved to towards half time we got caught on the break and unfortunately gave away a penalty, that’s the fifth one we’ve conceded so far this season! Westbury went into the break 1-0 up.
The second half started much the same as the first but we began to grow in confidence and chances started to come our way. We got the break through with 20 minutes to go, Natti Morgan was taken down in the box and we were awarded a penalty and Westbury were down to 10 men. Craig Sheppard stepped up and drew us level. However, straight from kick off we made a defensive error and Westbury were back in front. Then followed a period of sustained pressure and we got the reward five minutes from time when Sean Horobin headed home to make it 2-2 which is how the game finished. It was a really entertaining game.
