The old club record (9-0 v Gravesend & Northfleet) was today cast aside when Town notched up their 5th successive league win of the season. Neil Kirkpatrick opened the scoring from the penalty spot, then went on to grab a first half hat trick before Steve Eade also scored to make the half time score 4-0. The second half became an exhibition match as Town piled on the pressure and literally camped in the Marlborough half. Gary Holding soon made the score five-nil and twelve minutes later a new name on the score sheet, Neil Willcox netted the sixth. Neil Kirkpatrick then repeated his first half hat trick to score the seventh, eight and ninth. When Ben Phillips opened his account for the season by slotting in the tenth goal the old club record was broken and everyone seemed to agree that Ben really deserved to score the goal. The eleventh was added by club captain Steve Eade and just in case we forgot he was playing, "Kirky" scored his seventh and Trowbridge's twelfth to complete the rout. Just for the record they also hit the bar no less than three times!
