Malmesbury Victoria Reserves 0 - 3 Trowbridge Town

League - Wiltshire Football League Premier Division
Wednesday, April 28th, 2004, 7:00 PM
Trowbridge fielded 9 players from last nights cup final and still produced a good enough performance to beat Malmesbury and return to the top of the league. Jack Heard opened the scoring after 15 minutes, heading home a free kick taken by Ricky Trott on the left wing. Malmesbury went close in the 36th minute with a shot that went just over the bar. In the second half, Trowbridge looked very tired but hung on to their lead with some good defending. Just before the hour mark, Trowbridge had a goal disallowed and 7 minutes later the points were secured when Matt Minnis scored his first goal for the club with a low shot into the left corner. Just for good measure Minnis added a second in the final minute to take Trowbridge back to the top of the league.
